This free program helps New Yorkers learn English.
New Yorkers ages 21 and older can take free English classes offered throughout the 5 boroughs. Classes can help you build you English speaking and reading skills. You do not need a social security number or documentation to take these classes.
To be eligible, you must:
- Live in New York City
- Be 21 years or older
- Not have a U.S. high school diploma or equivalency (HSE)
The schedule depends on the student’s needs.
