This 6-week program helps you get job experience in building maintenance and construction
Get construction training with 6 weeks of hands-on workshops. The program ends with a 2 week internship that gives you on-the-job experience. You’ll also earn industry-recognized certifications like OSHA and Site Safety. If you don’t get a position before the end of the program, you will get help finding a job.
You’ll also get a Metrocard and a weekly stipend. Childcare assistance is also available at the Phipps Neighborhoods location. Support and retention specialists can connect you to more resources.
This free program is geared for people with no experience in building maintenance or construction.
You’re eligible if you:
- are at least 18 years old
- have a valid ID and social security card
- have a first draft of a resume
- Monday to Friday
- 9am to 4pm
- 5 weeks of training and development
- 1 week internship
