CUNY has free classes for people who want to improve their English or prepare for the GED exam.
Different levels of English classes are available for those who want to learn and improve their English. Pre-GED and GED classes are also available for students who want to prepare for the GED exam. Some programs also offer job training.
Classes are available on 14 CUNY campuses in all five boroughs.
Eligibility depends on the class you want to take. All classes are free, and classes are available at campuses across the city. For job training programs, you have to be eligible to work in New York State.
Depending on the campus, there are options for classes days, evenings, and weekends.
