Get experience, skills, and build a network of industry professionals in tech
Break Through Tech connects college female-identifying, non-binary, and other underrepresented groups in tech with tech experience, skills, and networking.
Guild is a free 1 week program that teaches coding for first and second-year college students who are underrepresented in tech.
Sprinternship is a paid mini-internship in tech during winter break for first and second year college college students who are underrepresented in tech at CUNY. It also provides a series of career development workshops.
To be eligible for Guild, you must:
- Be a female-identifying, nonbinary, or other underrepresented student group in tech
- Be a current CUNY undergraduate, degree-seeking student
- Be enrolled in at least 1 CUNY course during the fall semester
- Be a first or second-year student
To be eligible for Sprinternship, you must:
- Be a female-identifying, nonbinary, or other underrepresented student group in tech
- Be a current CUNY undergraduate, degree-seeking student
- Be enrolled in at least 1 CUNY course during the fall semester
- Be first-year, second-year, or junior student
- Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0+
- Be 18+
- Be living in the United States
- Be able to demonstrate commitment to a computer science major (for example, a computer science major, previous or planned classes, Summer Guild, a high school class, or other clubs, bootcamps, or extracurricular activities)
Guild runs one week at a time during summer break, Monday to Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. It is available in person and virtually.
Sprinternships run during CUNY’s winter break for 3 weeks from 9:00am-5:00pm, with prep workshops during the fall semester.
