People with a mental health diagnosis can get trained to work as a Peer Provider.
The Howie the Harp (HTH) Peer Training Program provides a 14-week classroom-based training and 12 week internship. You’ll learn skills to be a peer provider and learn more about self-driven recovery and care.
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a clinical mental health diagnosis
- Live in the NYC metropolitan area
- Have at least a high school diploma (or the equivalent)
- Be able to work in the U.S.
- Be COVID vaccinated
The program consists of:
- 14 week classroom training (approx. 280 hours)
- 12 week internship (work max. 24 hours per week)
