Build your talent pipeline through committed and prepared youth apprentices.
Through the Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA) program, employers have the opportunity to connect with highly trained apprentices for their business.
CRMYA is a two- to three-year apprenticeship program preceded by in-depth career readiness coursework for students. CRMYA is a partnership between NYC Public Schools, CareerWise New York, Big Picture Learning, and the New York Jobs CEO Council.
Hosting and training apprentices is an investment in your company’s future that can result in less turnover and fewer wasted training costs. You are also contributing to New York State’s long-term growth. Companies regularly identify recruiting skilled job candidates as a major challenge, but New York’s youth remains massively underemployed.
Apprentices apply for employment in the spring and begin their employment in October or February of each year. Employers and apprentices make a two- to three-year commitment when hiring.
Prior to applying to an apprenticeship opportunity, students participate in:

CRMYA has primarily worked with business, finance, healthcare, and IT employers but is amenable to expanding to additional industries if the occupational titles and training align.
